St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School ("SVdP") is a co-educational parish school affiliated with the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Student enrollment is approximately 500
for Prekindergarten (age 4) through eighth grade.

St. Vincent de Paul offers a rigorous academic program in a small, nurturing environment. The curriculum at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School is designed to challenge learners and to set high expectations that stimulate critical thinking and academic success. St. Vincent de Paul also offers many extracurricular activities including numerous athletic programs, drum line, bell choir, drama, chess and a variety of school clubs and programs.

• Our students are loving the new STEM lab!  This is the newly renovated space at the end of the primary hallway.  2nd-5th grades use the lab weekly for math and science projects led by our STEM lab director, Michelle Asselin.
• Our athletics program started right away with cross country, football, volleyball, soccer and cheerleading.  Our XC teams won 1st place boys and 2nd place girls in district at the end of October.  The newly renovated locker rooms are a tremendous blessing to the school!
• Our band and choir programs are back this year.  We are rebuilding our band and choir programs with 4th-8th grade students.  Our drumline and bell choir are back in action and already performing.
• We celebrated Homecoming on October 15th with spirit days all week.  We were not exactly “at home” for the game since the football field is recovering from the drainage construction, but we still enjoyed seeing our alumni return – especially our recent graduates.
• Service projects started right away.  8th grade collected rice and spices for the YMCA’s Afghan refugee project here in Houston.  And 7th grade collected medical supplies for our sister school, SVdP in Guayaquil, Ecuador.  6th grade will lead the CCSC food drive collection in November.
• Our students competed in selling raffle tickets for Funfest and celebrated the top sellers at our Funfest pep rallies.
