Peer Team Leaders are a group of young leaders who serve in the faith formation ministry
and help lead others to Christ.
Open to all incoming High School Freshmen-Seniors.
Who can apply to be a Peer Teen Leader (PTL)?
Any incoming high school freshman-senior who is a practicing. Catholic and has received his/her First Communion. Those wishing to assist with Confirmation must also be confirmed.
What will I be doing as a PTL?
PTL's will serve in a leadership capacity in one of the four Faith Formation ministries at SVdP (Lord's Day, CCE, EDGE, or Confirmation). You will work alongside adult leaders and assist with the instruction and activities related to that program.
Why would I want to be a PTL?
First of all, because it's awesome! Second of all, it's a great way to grow personally and spiritually. Sometimes the best way to grow in your faith is by helping others grow in theirs. And yes, being a PTL counts as community service.
How can I teach the faith? I barely know it myself!
Don't worry, no one is supposed to know all the answers. Training and guidance will be provided. The most important qualities of a PTL are to have a willingness to learn, a desire to serve, and a love for Jesus!
I think I can do this! What's the next step?
Fill out and submit the application. You will be contacted with more information once your application is received.
