I am Mary Gosline, Director of Communications. I was born in Quincy, IL. One of my favorite childhood memories is growing up on the Mississippi River. My brother and I, and a group of our friends use to ride our bikes up and down the “bottom” road along the banks of the river. It was such fun. The park which overlooks the river was where we would stop to swing and talk and just enjoy a great summer’s afternoon. To this day it is one of those places I must drive by when I return to my hometown for a visit.
I have worked for the Archdiocese since 1990, first at St. Thomas More and then St. Mark the Evangelist before joining the staff at SVdP in September, 2012. I am so blessed to be employed at this parish. I enjoy working with our gifted and holy priests, and the wonderful staff. This is truly an amazing parish community.
I was asked to share my favorite bible verse; this is hard to narrow to just one. I think I would have to settle on, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-2
