Sara Matheson

Sara works at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church as a Development/Administrative Assistant.

Born in Houston, she moved away at the age of five and grew up mostly in Virginia, lived in California the last five years, then returned to Houston with her parents last summer.

Sara previously worked at Catholic Answers in development and customer service, an experience that strengthened her passion for supporting the Church’s mission—something she looks forward to bringing into her role at St. Vincent de Paul.

A lifelong Catholic, she has a particular devotion to St. Philomena, St. Joseph, and Our Lady of Guadalupe. One of her most treasured experiences was making a pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe on her feast day in 2022.

Having lived in six states and visited 33 states and two countries, she enjoys traveling. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, including their Lab/Springer Spaniel mix, watching movies, and singing in the schola at her home parish.
