First Holy Communion

Baptism Certificates – Due February 20, 2023
Please upload your Baptism Certificate or if your child was Baptized here at SVdP you may request a copy of the Baptism Certificate. Upload and/or request your certificate by CLICKING HERE.
If your child attends school at our SVdP parish school, you do not need to do this unless specifically asked to provide their certificate.

Completion of Blessed First Communion Book & Mass Reflection Report
Due April 10, 2023
To attest and document that your child has completed their Blessed First Communion Book, AND to upload your child’s Mass Reflection Report, please CLICK HERE.
You DO NOT need to turn in your child’s book.
Please complete this by January 11th.

First Holy Communion Mass Dates & Information:

May 6, 2023, 10:30 am – Students that attend St. Vincent de Paul School Practices 8:45 am on April 26 and May 2nd – we will practice during the school day in the church. Parents are not required to come but are welcome.

May 13, 2023, 10:30 am – Students that attend Under Thy Roof Practice 6:30 pm, May 10th in the church –Parents are required to come.

You must sign up by April 25th to attend First Holy Communion, your sign up will include the number of immediate family members that will sit with the First Communicant. Those that have opted for another Mass time for their child to receive First Holy Communion will sign up on the above link also. Click Here to confirm your attendance

Attire and Liturgy information is outlined in the document below titled “First Holy Communion Liturgy Information.”
Please arrive for Mass at 9:30 am, First Communicant and parents.
Please plan a 2-hour duration for Mass.

Photography Information: Flash Photography will be our professional photographer this year. In addition to the picture of your child receiving their First Holy Communion, they will provide individual and family photography sessions on the day of First Communion.

The sessions will be in Mary’s Garden, weather permitting. Photo Sessions will begin at 8:30 am on the day of your first Communion and will be first come first served. We will also be available after First Communion for those that were not able to get theirs taken prior.
